Group seminar at MPQ interims lecture hall B 0.32 and Zoom
Monday, 16 September, 2.00pm (MEZ)
Ultracold molecules have promising applications in quantum simulation of many-body systems. I will describe efforts for next-generation molecular gas experiments at the University of Chicago involving potassium-silver molecules. These 'ultrapolar' molecules are capable of dipolar-mediated entanglement approaching MHz level speeds, presenting interesting opportunities for realizing exotic phases of matter and controlled studies of quantum thermalization.
