NNDy Optimizer is an adaptation of the MLOOP optimization algorithm for atomic physics experiments.The project involved developing a Python script to interface the optimizer with the experiment’s software and hardware control, in order to operate the experiment autonomously and iteratively.
In this talk, I will briefly discuss the algorithm’s design, the challenges of cooling Dysprosium, and some preliminary optimization results.
